Typically 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the complexity of your prescription. Specialty fittings for irregular corneas take considerably longer and are usually spread across two to three appointments.

**Why do I need a separate contact lens exam?**

A glasses prescription describes the correction needed at a distance from the eye. A contact lens sits directly on it, so the power differs and the fit has to be measured. A contact lens exam adds corneal measurement, tear film assessment and an evaluation of how the lens sits and moves on your eye.

**Can I wear contacts if I have astigmatism?**

Yes. Toric lenses are designed specifically for astigmatism and are available in daily, monthly, rigid and scleral forms. Fitting them takes a little more precision because the lens has to stay rotationally stable.

**What is the 30 day warranty?**
